BEFORE YOU ORDER
IN STOCK ITEMS: Please insure your item is not in our "Made to Order' Collection before purchase. Made to order run about 2-7 Buiness days direct from our manufacturer. For Non Made to Order items, allow 7-14 Business days for processing-as I am back to being a one man band when it comes to shipping! Currently i'm running a small business, animal rescue and trying to be a wife and now a new mom with a baby in the NICU...but unfortunately can't take time off so your support and understanding is SO appreciated! I'm just trying to figure out a new normal and keep my sanity all on one property! I am going to be doing Blaine Bowen solo for the time being, except for some help answering emails via a very generous friend of mine who is donating her time. I know this is NOT ideal, so if you are in a shipping bind please contact us beforehand so we can make arrangements. At present, for in house items I will only be shipping orders on Mondays and they will ship in the order they are received, as I currently need help lifting after my Emergency C section so I can only have that help on weekends. I will not be able to ship any orders same day on a Monday unless otherwise agreed upon. Again, If you are needing a rush or time sensitive order please just shoot us an email at info@blainebowen.com so I can be sure to accommodate! The time frames can exclude peak Holiday times or influencer Collaborations, and Sales which may affect this timeframe. If you are looking for something more immediate our Made to Order items have a 2-7 business day turnaround time shipped straight from our manufacturer to your door!
PRE-ORDER: Some Items will be subject to a Pre Order period and shipment time frame that will be advertised on the items collection page as well as our social media @blainebowen and @shopblainebowen
MADE TO ORDER: items are just that, made just for YOU. The product doesn't exist until you order it! Your item will be cut, sewn and printed, QC checked, packed by our talented Team and shipped directly to you after 2-7 Business Days of production. If this time frame is affected it will be displayed in the products description and here. Made to Order will be found in the 'Made to Order' Collection.
SM fits a wrist size range of about 5.75"- 6.75"... ML fits about 7" - 8".
Blaine wears a size SM comfortably and has a wrist measurement of 6.25 inches.
We can always offer a custom size. Just click on 'MY CART' in the upper right corner of our site and leave your wrist size in the ''Special Instructions box'.
To measure your wrist we use a string or lace wrap around your wrist (Above the ball of your wrist, the part closest to your elbow), not tightly, and mark where the ends of the string meet-then lay it out next to a ruler.
That's your estimated wrist size, we'll determine the best fit from there!
Made to Order apparel or Pre Orders will be noted in the "made to order" collection or click the previous link in blue to shop them now. Anything outside the 'Made to Order' Collection is In Stock if not otherwise noted as a Pre Order!
CHECK YOUR SPAM! That is normally where we are hanging out. Otherwise, check your texts and make sure you didn't sign up for text message alerts. If it's still not there just email us at info@blainebowen.com to get you a copy.
You will not receive a tracking email until your order is packaged and ready to ship! If you do receive a pre notification that a label has been created then we have printed the label, which we do sometimes if we have an influx of orders and i'm trying to keep them out and organized. Please note: due to our new location carriers only pick up with us once to twice a week.
Please see each items product description for garment details, as a majority of our styles are unique. However, pleae note Blaine selects and designs garments based off men's sizing. Please make sure to check product descriptions for details and sizing recommendations.
We utilize the following metals: 14K Gold Plated over Copper, 14K Gold Plated over Sterling Silver, and 14K Gold Filled. We use no nickel or lead in our any of our products.
Gold Filled: USA industry standard that legally requires 1/20th, or 5% pure gold by weight. It’s a strictly regulated process that involves pressure bonding multiple layers of solid 14k gold with extreme heat over a core of high quality jeweler’s brass resulting in a durable, quality real gold product.
Gold-fill is absolutely your best option after solid gold for quality and durability. It will not flake off or turn your skin green and offers a great option for people with sensitive skin. We only use the best USA made gold-filled components and stand behind our product’s quality. Gold-filled jewelry can stay beautiful for a lifetime, especially with proper care. Gold Filled products will be noted with 'GF' or mentioned in the product description. Why aren't all of our items Gold Filled you ask? Some of our designs are more complicated “molded” designs and must be cast - a process that is incompatible with gold-filled material.
Gold Plating: All of our Gold Plated items are Micron Plated with 1.5 Microns 14K Gold over either Copper or .925 Sterling Silver, it is NOT flash plated. Micron is better and higher quality than Flash. Plated items will eventually lose their luster, but are more cost friendly then gold filled. The length of Gold Plating keeping its color comes down to lifestyle and care. Someone who works at a computer desk all day and is conscientious about taking their jewelry off before washing it will have a longer-lasting gold plating. On the other hand, if you enjoy cooking or construction work, and you sleep, swim, and shower without taking any of your jewelry off, you can kiss that plating goodbye in about a month or less.
Remember that gold plated jewelry is just that- a thin layer of gold over a base metal. Like paint, it will peel and chip off if you subject it to constant abrasion. You don’t drag sandpaper over your favorite painted furniture, so why would you do that to your jewelry?
A special mention also goes out to certain people with interesting body chemicals. Some people sweat a lot, and without venturing too far into the icky part of the subject people can have varying levels of acid in their sweat. If you don’t wipe down your jewelry after wear, those oils and other fluids from your daily routine will eat away at your jewelry. It’s why a lot of costume jewelry starts to smell bad and turn color after long periods of wear.

You can always change or cancel your order as long as your order has not been shipped, or in made to order cases, been printed already! Please make all changes as soon as possible; especially in Made to Order or Pre Order cases. Please also double check your delivery address and notify us of any changes or errors as soon as possible.
We will try to accommodate rush/custom orders whenever possible! Just shoot us an email at info@blainebowen.com
As we say in our Pre Order notes, "No news is good news!". Due to being a small business, we will only be in contact if there is an issue with your order, or there will be any delays from our initial quoted time frame. We don't want to keep you in the dark but we do very specifically provide guidellines for each of our pre orders to answer any anticipated questions. Our team is small enough that we are better suited to be all hands on deck getting orders out, than providing constant updates when guidelines have not changed since your order!
*Note* We have noticed a mass amount of jewelry and bracelets being sold as 'Vinyl' for extremely cheap prices. We ask that you not support such businesses, we have been sourcing vinyl for nearly a decade...cheaply priced vinyl jewelry is sourced from one of two things: inauthentic vinyl, or sourced under unethical work and trade conditions that exploit the women who typically produce and string them. We always source from transparent, ethical sources. We ask that you only support companies that do their best to source ethically. Not doing so only further encourages this inhumane and costly behavior.
Investing in BB Products is like looking for a Mate, you want someone who's around for a good time AND a long time. Our ethical practices contribute to the pricing of our items. For jewelry, we are a small team who hand-makes every order. Our vinyl for bracelets are sourced from an Artisan group in Ghana and Nairobi, helping to provide a trade for women. We use high quality Organic and recycled materials in our apparel, our G2 wash uses 60% less water, our items are cruelty free and utilize Non Toxic, Low impact dyes all while utilizing WRAP certified manufacturers and Fair Labor Assoc. Accredited factories. We do not support fast fashion, its practices, or the horrible work environment's they are created in. Blaine always provides people with this explanation when they say our items are expensive: A t-shirt for example.
A t-shirt begins as cotton in a field tended by a Cotton Farmer and harvested (do you know over 90% of cotton today is genetically Modified? Not here!) Then the yarn goes to a manufacturer to be spun, most of our T Shirts use SIX MILES of yarn and is compact ringspun. At this factory the cotton is taken from raw form, combed, then pulled, twisted and spun into yarn. Then a trip to a textile factory where the yarn is Spun/framed, knitted/dyed, cut and sewn into the item that is now your base t shirt. Then your shirt can make it to a wholesaler or a brand which then has a graphic designers touch put on it, and is sent to a Printing facility that embellishes or 'decorates' per industry term, the apparel. Then you have the brand that prices this shirt for wholesale for B2B or sells directly to a consumer B2C after hours of labor regarding bagging, tagging, warehousing, SKU and Inventory coding etc.
I don't believe a T Shirt of good quality made under ethical means can be sold under $38...that is my minimum, and that's with my Brand taking a profit cut. That one t-shirt has to provide a safe, living and working wage from Farmer, to manufacturer, to Textile Mill, to printer/decorator than to a Brand which then sells to wholesalers or retailers where they are marked up 100%-300% min. That's on average about 5-7 different facilities/hands a t shirt passes through-all needing to make ethical and working wages. We only work with these kinds of companies, hence, the pricing of our products. However, we only work with the best we can get while staying accessible. At the end of the day we choose to do good and be an ethical company over profit, but we promise that you get what you pay for. I also am not in the moral business of profiting off clothing that is toxic to your health and do everything possible to be transparent and source clothing that's as clean as possible.
Yes! Please email us at info@blainebowen.com so we can get you sorted, custom note and all!
Please place multiple orders to avoid any confusion! If there is a discount code you are trying to utilize on all orders, just let us know and we'll take care of it on our end!
In order to prevent waste of boxes and packaging, contributing to the fashion industries already polluting nature. If we receive and order of multiple bracelets, all the same size, we will package them all in one box. This saves on shipping as well, as it is calculated by weight. Should you be purchasing for multiple people, please email us so we can include a proper amount of boxes and care cards. Otherwise, we appreciate your help in not contributing to fashion waste!
If you are wanting the in-stock item immediately, please place two separate orders. Otherwise, all orders included in an order with a Pre Order item, will ship together when the Pre-Order item is ready.
PRE-ORDERS are items that we set a period of time where we will accept orders for exactly what you want and your size. Once the Pre Order Period is over we go into production, where upon purchase you are given an estimated ship date. This helps eliminate fashion waste, and also is more efficient and financially healthy for a small business in the current climate. We know it's not ideal but your understanding is appreciated!
'Made to Order' is processed immediately at our Print on Demand Facility in Los Angeles or North Carolina. Made to Order items don't exist until you order them-another way we eliminate fashion pollution, by limiting carrying overstock and only making items when they're ordered! Once you place your Made to Order item, it is digitally sent to our Print on Demand Factory where in 2-7 business (excluding Holidays or other extenuating circumstances) days your item is made and shipped to you! Made to Order items will ship separately from any in stock or pre order items as they come direct form our manufacturer, not our warehouse. Gift wrap, or notes are unavailable as those warehouses pack for us!

ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS & CARE
We utilize the following metals: 14K Gold Plated over Copper, 14K Gold Plated over Sterling Silver, and 14K Gold Filled. We use no nickel or lead in our any of our products.
Our Vinyl and vulcanite is recycled and assembled in strands in Ghana and Nairobi, while our silicon mix discs are also from recycled materials. The Vulcanite, is a material that was used to make vinyl records. They are known as Vinyl Record Beads, since they are made from the same material. Natively, they are called "jigada beads". These beads hail from Mali, where women wear them around their waist, to help them hold their shape. If you see bracelets or pieces using these components we ask that you consider the price, if they seem very cheap we ask that you do not purchase said product because they are most likely not sourced under ethical and fair trade conditions with the women who string them. All of our other pieces are either ethically sourced pearls and semi precious stones and beads sourced from around the world, mostly on Blaine's travels and connections she has made on trips.

We try to reduce our carbon footprint and contribution to fashion pollution as much as possible. We use compostable shipping mailers, we've moved to digital order confirmations/returns & exchanges and cut down on in-package inserts. We also utilize lots of recycled products in our packaging, our jewelry boxes are made from recycled materials, as is some of our clothing! We have also donated to many environmental and animal rights organizations.

I don't believe a Graphic T Shirt of good quality, made under ethical means can be sold under $38...that is my minimum, and that's with my Brand taking a profit cut as we do not utilize typical retail markup, for mainstream brands I would change this to $50. Our jewelry is handmade right here in Texas by Blaine and a group of trusted Artisans. All items are hand designed by Blaine, then our Artisans help create our large orders from Blaine's samples. For our Manufactured items, Blaine hand draws all designs to their exact measurements and transfers to CAD, which is then sent to our US Based manufacturer for molding.
We recommend delicate wash on cold with like colors, and flat dry. Once your item has flat dried, toss in the dryer on low for a few minutes to soften it up. If it's an item from our BB Boutique and not made by us, please follow the inner care tags. If your sweatshirt ever develops piling over time, this can be easily remedied with a fabric shaver, or a regular shaving razor!
General rule of thumb: No Sleeping, No Showers, No Swimming (Pool/lake/Ocean), No Sweaty or extreme Sports/workouts, No Lotions, tanners or perfumes. Unless your item is only vinyl (no metal pieces), then you can live your life! We strongly recommend giving your gems a quick rinse and rub every now and then, especially if you accidentally get lotions or wear in the water etc. We recommend purchasing a sunshine polishing cloth to use on metal jewelry, give metal pieces a good rinse and polish with the cloth. Also, make sure to store your jewelry in the boxes they arrived in, as they contain a tab with technology utilized by NASA to prevent tarnish! See the card insert that came with your jewelry for more care tips!
Blaine sources vintage items from an array of locations, all used and then Blaine personally repurposes them with unique and one of a kind touches, distressing, thread, and dyeing. Interested in getting your own custom vintage item? Just email us at info@blainebowen.com and we'll get started!

What Is Pilling?
Pills appear on fabric when groups of short or broken fibers become tangled together in a tiny knot or ball, otherwise known as a pill. The pills form due to rubbing or abrasion during normal wear and use. Fabrics made of long fibers like silk and linen pill less than wool, cotton, polyester, and other synthetic threads. When fibers are mixed in a fabric like a cotton/polyester blend, one fiber is usually much stronger than the other. The weaker fiber will break, knot around to the stronger fiber, and a pill is formed.
The pill, unfortunately, becomes a magnet for other loose threads in a wash load and the two become entangled. That's why a black fabric ends up with little white knots. That white knot is fuzz from another fabric.
How to Prevent Pills on Clothes
-use the washer's gentle cycle. The slower agitation and shorter wash cycle will protect your clothes. Or, choose hand washing which is even more gentle.
Before washing any garment, by hand or in a washer, turn the garment inside out. This prevents excessive abrasion to the surface of the fabric from other clothes, zippers, and buttons.
-Sort clothes properly before washing. Washing delicate items in the same load as jeans will cause more abrasion and harm to the surface of fabrics. Avoid washing lint producing fabrics like terry cloth with other clothes. If there are broken fibers on polyester, the lint from terry cloth is going to cling tightly to the polyester surface.
-Do not overload the washer. Cramming it as full as possible does not leave room for clothes to move easily and causes damage to the surface of clothes.
-Skip harsh cleaners and damaging bleaches which can weaken fibers causing them to break and pill.
Choose a laundry detergent that contains the enzyme cellulase. The enzyme will help break down cotton pills and remove them.
-Add a commercial fabric softener to the rinse cycle. The ingredients in fabric softener coat the fibers of the fabric so that abrasion is lessened.
-Avoid the clothes dryer. Line dry woven fabrics and dry knitted garments on a flat surface. If using the dryer, remove delicate items as soon as possible to lessen abrasion from other fabrics.

while it doesn't happen often with proper care, if it does, or you love your item long enough-piling will happen no matter what the piece if it's a knit blend (thats how we get our extra soft feel!) If your sweatshirt ever develops piling over time, this can be easily remedied with a fabric shaver, which we recommend-it comes in handy more than you know! re or a regular shaving razor! As much as we would love to, unfortunately our work load for such a small team, where time is precious, to go back and adjust the large amount of orders and answering emails...it would take away from valuable time fulfilling customer orders on time. If you make your purchase during a sale, and don't apply the code-we will absolutely make an adjustment.
Absolutely! Just email us your order number and we'll get you sorted!
